With so many differing reviews, my experience is this...The sushi is perfect. They don't put it out so often, so it won't be exposed to the air that would make it taste undesirable. Good thinking. My favorite is the baked salmon.Their buffets cover a wide variety of selections ranging from japanese, mediterranean, korean, some italian and local dishes. So, at weekdays, the cost would be @ 2,000±±…and during weekends, which starts on Fridays, @ 3,000±±…. You won't be shortchanged, for as i said, there are wide varieties. Still, depending on each one's taste and preference, there are still something that can be said. Like their brewed coffee, which as i have requested twice at a span of 30 minutes, for lack of aroma and taste. I was expecting a better version for a hotel that is reputed to be "5" stars. Ribs could be made more tender, as i really enjoy the taste. Other than that, for the meantime, everything is good. I'll be back, i guess...to give a better assessment. And, maybe, lunchtime would be my next shot.

HONEST REVIEW: FOOD: 9/10 - Caters different international and local food. I personally recommend the steak, japanese station, and the chinese station. What i dislike the most is the indian section and filipino section (seems too basic for my taste nothing special). Can give a score of 10 but i personally felt that the variety of food is too less for its price. But overall the food is decent to great. NOTE: They only serve water, coffee, and tea for complimentary. All drinks are paid excluded to the 999 fee for the lunch/dinner. SERVICE: 10/10 - Fast, friendly, and professional. From the chefs, to the waiters, and the concierge, all friendly and accommodating. ATMOSPHERE: 9/10 - Clean, grand, and classy. Not too crowded. NOTE: This restaurant follows a dress code (SMART CASUAL ONLY) PARKING: You may use the hotel parking but you will pay the regular fee.

Corniche Restaurant is located at the Ground Floor inside the Diamond Hotel in Malate, Manila. Though there is a buffet restaurant, I take separate menu items due to the gift certificate I received from Chief as a Christmas Raffle. For separate menu items, I took rare and expensive foods such as Diamond Burger (P850 is worth its size together with fries, and a dip of ketchup and mayonnaise), Reuben Sandwich fro P820 (a big Clubhouse sandwich with meat, cheese, and shredded cabbage), and an expensive but small servings of Ricotta Gnocchi with Sala Pomodoro. A Diamond burger and Reuben Sandwich have complementary fries with ketchup and mayo dip. All other meals have complementary round multi-grain bread and brown bread with small butter. The ambience is good, it was a huge restaurant and the table is well-organised and presentable. The dress code is strictly implemented in the restaurant. For those choosing the buffet, it is around P4,000, where you eat everything from desserts and Asian cuisines. Even someone who can afford to pay these buffet, it might not be worth it when your appetite is too short; you can not eat all of them. The chairs have soft paddings. Except for buffet, an ala carte menu item can be taken home.

Tried lunch at Corniche with my kids. Dined here more than 8years ago. Place looks well renovated with standalone islands functioning as food stations. Japanese, Indian, Noodle Bar, join the usual salad, bread, soup stations. Impressed with the Braised Pork and mushroom soup which was tasted Chinese style. Light noodle soup was good as starter. Siopao was tasty and just the right size. Ebi tempura was light and crunchy. Service was warm. Will return with other family members. Surf/Turf 3680 net

Cozy ambience. Friendly and attentive staff. Fair selection of premium dishes and desserts -- western, asian and japanese cuisine. Everything tastes good! Truly a rewarding and delicious experience. One of the best hotel buffet on my list. We were able to take advantage of the special 30% off buffet promo, tho drinks were not included in the promo.

We visited here last month pa. Can't think of anything else to say aside from the food is delicious. Me and my partner loved it! However, compared to other hotels they have limited options for food.

We went here for lunch. Buffet area was small. Food quality was just okay. I appreciate that the manager and staff were very polite and attentive to us. We will be back again for sure.

Food are always great. And aince I am currently experiencing allergy I can't enjoy their seafoods selection.. So might as well enjoy the dessert section
